Mitsubishi Motors Workers Report Male Menopause

Asahi Shimbun's reported Ayako karino, quoted Hiromi Yokoyama, a a physician specializing in male menopause and who is a director of the Urology Department at Ishin Clinic in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, as stating that the patients who come to see him, "recently, it's Mitsubishi Motors workers."

Uncertainty about their future job prospects might be part of the reason. He said that unlike in countries like Sweden where males are particularly desperate to treat their erectile dysfunction in fear that otherwise their partners might leave them, in Japan most Japanese wives wouldn't abandon their husbands for not having sex with them, but they might if they failed to serve as the breadwinner.

The newspaper also reported on which types are likely to get male menopause. "He offered the example of a fictional patient with a pear-shaped body. This man has slender arms and a big belly. He chokes down two packs of cigarettes a day and drinks beer by the bucketful. Is he a candidate for menopause? Absolutely, said Yokoyama."

Therefore, it looks like current situation is taking its toll on poor Mitsubishi Motors workers. One can argue that similar things must be happening to its management, suppliers, dealers and even some owners of its autos.
