PREVIOUS: Mitsubishi 2004 Q1 Sales Poor

When you thought we have seen the worst, comes April 2004 and sales took another tumble. While sales for the first quarter were about 20% below that of corresponding quarter last year, April sales went further south, registering about 34% decline compared to April 2003 sales. 2004 Galant, which Mitsubishi Motors touted as a bright spot in its presvious press release since its sales for the month had gown up compared to that in March 2003, took a sharp drop by over 54%. (mitsubishisucks.com had earlier pointed out in its analysis of the quarterly sales that monthly sales are subject to short-term effects like the dealer incentives, ad campaigns and so on. )

These figures don't need analysis. First figure on each row is April 2004 sales, number within parentheses is 2003 April's sales and the last number is the percentage change from last year's April sales.
