Mitsubishi Sales Sharply Down
150,432 vehicles were sold in June 2004 mostly on basis of increased sales of light trucks.[DesRosiers Automotive Consultants.] Mitsubishi Motors sales fell by 45 percent to 949 units.
Mitsubishi Numbers
Passenger car sales for June 2004 were 704 units compared to 1,447 for 203 June, reflecting 51 percent drop in sales, and 53 percent drop if compared on per day basis. [Had 25 selling days in 2004 compared to 24 selling days in 2003.] In comparison, Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) sales were 245 units compared to 278 units sold in 2003 June, a 12 percent drop (15 percent on per day basis).
Models sold in Canada are almost identical to their US counterparts and include Outlander, Montero Sport, Montero and Endeavor in the SUV category and Galant, Eclipse, Eclipse Spyder, Diamante, Lancer Sportback, and Lancer in the passenger car category.
