Description: ENGINE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY CONCERN

Numbers: 1582

Defect: The crankshaft pulley may become loose, causing a ratling noise from the engine, battery warning light to come on and a high steering effort will be noticed.

Action: All recalled vehicles will have the crankshaft pulley bolt tightened to the correct specified torque.

Description: POTENTIAL DETACHMENT OF CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

Build Date: 1996 - 1999

Numbers: 4249

Defect: The crankshaft pulley securing bolt may not have been correctly torqued. The bolt may loosen or break and in the worst case result in detachment of the pulley.

Action: All engines up to engine number YD2145 - remove pulley securing bolt, increase the depth of the thread in the crankshaft by 5mm. Check bolt for damage and renew if necessary. Lubricate threads, refit and tighten to specified torque. Engines numbered from YD2146 onwards - remove pulley securing bolt, examine for damage and renew if necessary, lubricate threads, refit and tighten to specified torque.

Description: LOSS OF BRAKING SYSTEM VACUUM ASSISTANCE

Build Date: Between 17 June 1997 and 21 August 1997

Defect: The brake booster vacuum hose check valve may stick and cause a loss of vacuum to the brake booster, resulting in increased pedal effort and stopping distances.

Action: The remedial action necessitates replacement of the brake booster vacuum hose.

Component: FRONT FLEXIBLE BRAKE HOSE

Build Date: 1991 to 1994

Number: 12576

Defect: Brake fluid may seep from the front flexible brake hoses impairing the efficiency of one or both braking circuits.

Action: Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of both front flexible brake hoses.
