Defect: Fuel tanks and drive shafts detaching, parking brakes failing and steering wheels not working ...

Background: MMC found 41 defects since october 1992 that could lead to accidents; only four had been reported to the transport ministry. 21 accidents were caused by these defects and in nine cases, secret repairs were made.
