Consequences: The trailer will only remain connected if held by the safety chain.

Corrective action: Mitsubishi dealers will supply a replacement tongue / gooseneck assembly.

Defect: The mounting brackets for the Misubishi Sorts Roof Rack (60Kg capacity) may not secure the rack properly.

Consequences: The rack may become dislodged and in the worst case become detached from the vehicle.

Corrective action: Mitsubishi dealers will modify the mounting brackets.

Defect: The accumulator diaphragm on the booster may have been assembled incorrectly and if it fails will reduce the power assistance.

Consequences: After long term parking at first engine start and under sudden braking an increased pedal effort may be required.

Corrective action: Mitsubishi dealers will check and rectify the diaphragm fitment if required

Problem: TAKATA SEATBELT BUCKLE (SERVICE CAMPAIGN)

VIN Ranges: HG & HH Galant, all vehicles; NF/NG Pajero, model years 1989-91; NH Pajero, 1991 pre-production units; MF/MG Triton, model years 1987-91.

Status: Inactive

Defect: Cracking and/or chipping of the red push button section of the buckle, front seatbelt buckle/stalk assembly. Displaced pieces compromise the integrity of the buckle locking mechanism.

Consequences: Buckle does not lock, fails to unlock when pressed or fails to effectively lock.

Corrective action: On inspection of the front seatbelt buckles if any cracking or chipping of the buckle push button evident then replace that stalk/buckle assembly. All replacement buckles coloured black.ed black in lieu of various trim colours.

Problem: CRACK IN FRONT UPPER BRAKE HOSES

Defect: A small crack may develop in the upper front brake hoses leading to leakage of brake fluid.

Consequences: Brake pedal travel increases and effectiveness of the service brakes is reduced, resulting in increased stopping distance.

Corrective action: Replace both upper front brake hoses.
