Lancer Recalls
March 9, 2005. 1400 Lancer wagons are to be recalled [ news.com.au reported]. Mitsubishi Motors Australia announced that the gas lifting struts on the tailgate could dislodge because of the aging attaching jointd and resulting in tailgate to drop wnen fully open. The company is planning to replace the struts.
The recall involves Lancers manufactured between June 1992 and August 1993.
Problem: Roof rack may become dislodged

Defect: The mounting brackets for the Misubishi Sorts Roof Rack (60Kg capacity) may not secure the rack properly.
Consequences: The rack may become dislodged and in the worst case become detached from the vehicle.
Corrective action: Mitsubishi dealers will modify the mounting brackets.
