Mitsubishi fares poorly on J.D. Powers new cars ratings
April 28, 2004. J.D. Power released results of its 2004 Intitial Quality Study based on responses from over 50,000 new car buyers. Mitsubishi Motors autos again fared poorly, registering 130 problems per 100 cars, worse than the industry average of 119. It fared worse than even General Motors (120), DaimlerChrysler (123) and Ford (127). Hyundai, on the other hand, had just 102 complaints per 100 vehicles, just behind Toyota and Honda.
