Complaint Description: engine would make clinging & banging noises when trying to get engine to start. took vehicle to dealer. was informed by mechanic the flanging that holds the crankshaft in place was the cause of problem. it had broken loose from the welding. this caused it wobble. it also bored a hole in the engine short block. its the reason for not starting.*ak .
