Complaint Description: i am not the 1st owner of this car but previous owner experienced same problem. awd transfer case lock-up at highway speeds. loud rattling noise, extreme difficulty shifting, fluid leaked out. this problem is very common in all 3000gt and stealth cars equipped with awd powertrain. additionl cases of this problem can be found simply by searching around car owner communities such as www.3si.org . mitsubishi dealer won't repair my transfer case and only solution is to buy a new one. total cost would be over $5000 assuming no other damage to drivetrain was experienced, which is very likely.*ak .
