Complaint Description: the end of the rear cover of the 5 speed transmission blew off, expelling the 5th gear synchonizer assembly and all lubricant from the transaxle case. luckly, the car was only traveling about 20 mph when this occured. car was being driven down a slight grade through a parking lot at time of failure. photos are available.*ak .
