Complaint Description: compressor bearing failed at 53,000 miles and again at 105,500. $1800 for first repair. this seems to be a recurring problem. i can understand a component failing, but i've never had an air conditioning compressor fail twice! 50k miles average life expectancy is horrible! have others complained, or do i have a unique situation? could the drive belt not be in proper alignment, causing undo stress on the pulley bearings? do i have any recourse? .
