Complaint Description: i had pulled into a parking space in a shopping center's parking lot. the car was crooked so i put the car in reverse to merely straighten it out at which point the car flew backwards as if my foot had pressed the accelerator to the floor and held it there although this certainly was not the case. as my foot was on the brake and this was happening i shifted the car into park. all this occurred in a 3 second period and i'm not sure what actually stopped my car- the brake, the gear in park or the car i hit which parked 12-15 ft behind me. i've had a safe driving record for many years and have never had anything like this occur. .
