Complaint Description: there has been 2 recalls since purchase of the car in 1993 for the seat belt. the first one was for the track, & now for the latch. the dealership is wanting to charge me for fixing the problem. there is obviously a problem with the safety system of 1993 mitsubishi mirage ls model. someone could get hurt or killed should they be involved in an accident. the cable that is in the track shoots out and stays that way & the latch freezes in a position. i'm was told that it cost about $500.00 to repair. i should not have to pay for a defect which should be a high concern for mitsubishi & dot. .
