Complaint Description: engine rod failed causing metal to go through the engine damaging it, a few months later while driving the engine began making a loud noise then the vehicle suddenly shut off resulting in loss of steering capability, it was determined that a rod cap disconnected and hit the oil pan, the consumer has replaced to engines in less than one year and feels these failures are not normal wear and tear. nlm .
